Who are we?
We are a recreational basketball league dedicated to providing a fun and engaging experience for players of all ages. Our teams are organized by grade, and each team is coached by a volunteer through an exciting regular season of eight games. Players in second grade and up also compete in playoff games.
What do players receive?
All players receive a league-issued uniform. Players in 4th grade and under will be awarded a trophy. For players in 2nd grade and above, we also present trophies for Championship, Runner-Up, and Regular Season Champions. Additionally, we recognize outstanding sportsmanship with special awards.
When do we play?
Practices are typically held once a week on a weekday evening, with the specific time and location determined by your volunteer coach. Games are played on weekends, primarily on Sundays, although some divisions may have games on Saturdays.
Where are games and practices held?
Games are held at indoor facilities in Boca Raton, while practices can take place outdoors in Boca at the coach’s discretion.
Can I play with my friends?
We do allow friend requests, especially for younger age groups, and we will do our best to accommodate them. However, we cannot guarantee that all requests will be fulfilled. It’s important to enjoy playing both with and against friends!
What if my grade plays on Saturdays and I observe the Sabbath?
If you are Sabbath observant, you have the option to play in the next age group up.
How many games do you play?
8 games and age group 2nd grade in higher participate in a single elimination playoff round
How can I sign up to coach?
Coach registration will be available on our website soon. If you’re interested in being an assistant coach, please note that head coaches select their own assistants. All coaches must register, complete a concussion certification course, and attend a coach clinic (date to be announced) prior to the season.
How are teams formed?
We hold a player evaluation weekend where players are rated. For ages 10 and under, these ratings are used to create balanced teams. For ages 11 and up, coaches will conduct a blind draft to form teams. The more players that participate in evaluations, the better balanced our teams will be.
